Almost every Sunday evening we meet together as a family. The kids and grandkids come over we visit, play games and have dessert. Sometimes I make cookies or brownies but mostly I make cake. Lots of different kinds of cake. Last week my husband requested ‘Marble Pound Cake’. As I was hunting the recipe, which I couldn’t find at first, He asked where the recipe came from in the first place. Then it hit me. The recipe was inside a Bundt Cake pan that we received as a wedding gift. Earlier this month we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. OH MY GOSH! I have been making this recipe for 50 years!

The original recipe was called ‘Original German Pound Cake’. I wish I could give credit to the company that published it but that pan has been long gone. Along with it the company name.

After making it a few times as written I started making it marbled. Now we call it Marble Pound Cake. It soon became one of my husbands favorites.
