Certain treats are tradition at our house, one being soft sugar cookies. If I don’t make them for Valentines Day, Halloween, and Christmas I am in big trouble. We love soft cookies and these are always soft unless you over cook them.
Soft Sugar Cookies
Cream the butter and sugar together. Add eggs and mix well. Add buttermilk and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients and add to egg mixture and stir until well blended. Chill for at least 1 hour. Roll 1/4″ thick and cut with cookie cutter. Place on grease cookie sheet. Bake 350 degrees for 8- 10 minutes. Cool and frost with Butter Cream Frosting in your favorite holiday colors. Decorate with sprinkles or pipe on frosting.
I love soft sugar cookies and these look so yummy! Pinning!
Thank you Sheena. Enjoy. Come see us again.
Yes, please! These are like the big, bright ones you get at Wal-Mart or the grocery store in the “I shouldn’t buy this let alone eat the whole package” section! They’re my favorites!!! Pinning right now! 🙂
I hope they meet your expectations. Enjoy!!! Thank you for stopping by, come again.
How yummy! I love the bright orange frosting that you have used!
