Americana Scrap Pictures

I no longer scrapbook with paper, sticker, binders, and scissors. I prefer the computer these days, but I still have lots of paper floating around and I’m still decorating my Family Room.  I had 2 black frames I wanted to use. So I thought I would combine the two – frame and paper.  At first I thought about making a small quilt block to put in each of them but they really are small only about 5″. I didn’t think a quilt block would look good. I remembered my mom had given me her small scrapbook calendar patriotic pages. I pulled them out to see if they would work.

The first one fit the frame perfect. I was so excited but the others – not so much. I was going to have to scrapbook.

I traced the glass so I would fit in the frame because they are not exactly square. I cut out the Land of the Free square and taped it to on the background square using double sided tape. I don’t really like this one so I tried again.

I didn’t take pictures of this one. It got a little complicated.

Lots of cutting and taping on this one too. I don’t know if you can tell by the picture but every section of different color is a different piece of paper.  I like it better.

I like how they turned out. So if your like me and have scrapbook paper you don’t really use anymore. Don’t throw it out too quickly! You never now when you might want to scrapbook something other than a scrapbook.

Happy Crafting!
