Everyone has a food that is hard to resist. Mine is cookies. It doesn’t really matter what kind I love them. The problem is that I can’t usually stop with just one, and this
“Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie”
recipe is no different. It has two of my favorite ingredients, CHOCOLATE and NUTS. Oh,ya!!
They have cake like softness with a little crispness around the bottom edge and full of chocolaty goodness.
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup buttermilk or sour milk
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 6 oz package semisweet chocolate chips (1 cup)
about 1/2 cup pecan halves
Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
Melt butter, stir in cocoa powder until smooth. Stir in brown sugar. Beat in egg, vanilla and milk. Sift dry ingredients together and add to chocolate mixture. Stir until well blended. Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes or until they touch test done. Remove from pan to cool. Frost with butter cream frosting and top with pecan halves.
These pretty cookies are always a hit at a party or just as a thank you to your neighbor.
Try not to eat too many!
These look amazing and I bet they’d be a hit at a super bowl party!

Chocolate on top of chocolate sounds like a win. I think the pecan on top would be a great addition.
