I’ve been so excited for this project that I keep forgetting to take before pictures. Sorry! I’ve had this dresser since I was a little girl and it was old then. I decided it was time for a change. So in keeping with the shabby chic style the dresser got painted white.
I used a liquid sander deglosser, no sanding and no mess. My kind of work. Then I painted using Heirloom White spray paint. Then I sanded – I sanded random areas on the dresser to give it an old distressed look.
I found that someone years ago switched handles. Arrgh! Did they have to drill holes. I didn’t want to patch the unwanted whole, so my goal was to find a dresser handle that would hide all wholes.
Didn’t it turn out great! I love it!
I also painted two night stands and two shelves.
More on the shelves coming soon.
