Grandma almost always had banana bread in her freezer when I was growing up. I thought she just really liked banana bread.

Now I know why – no one wants to eat a brown banana.

No matter how many bananas I buy, I almost always have a couple that don’t get eaten.

Grandma's Banana Bread

The moistest banana bread you've ever had.
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1½ cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 medium bananas (mashed)
  • ½ cup sour milk
  1. Cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add eggs, vanilla and mashed bananas.
  3. Sift together flour and baking soda.
  4. Alternating add flour mixture and sour milk starting and ending with the flour mixture.
  5. Bake at 350 for 1 hour
