This healthy breakfast food is not only good for breakfast but for other times of the day. Sprinkle a couple of tablespoons into your yogurt, on top of your ice cream sundae or just in a bowl to crunch on as a snack.
6 cups rolled oats (not instant)
6 cups rolled wheat
1 1/2 cups wheat or white flour
1 bag coconut
6 cups crispy rice cereal
1 cup slivered almonds
1/2 cup milk
1 cup honey
1 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup canola oil
1 tbsp vanilla
Dried fruit-raisins, craisins, etc. (Optional)
In a very large mixing bowl mix dry ingredients together. Combine milk, honey, corn syrup oil and vanilla in a sauce pan, cook and stir just until blended. Do not boil. Remove from heat and pour liquid mixture over dry ingredients and stir until dry is all coated. Spread loosely on three cookie sheets and bake in a 250 degree oven stirring every 20 minutes for 1 hour. Cool completely and store in an air tight container or zipper lock bags.
Stir in craisins or your favorite fruit and enjoy.

This looks incredible! I have never made my own granola before, but I certainly love to put it on my yogurt. Thanks for sharing your recipe!
This is really great in yogurt and on ice cream. Thank you for visiting. Come see us again.
This looks yummy! I’m always looking for breakfast ideas for my babes! Thanks much.
Stopping by from Get Schooled Sat. I LOVE granola and need to give this a try. Carrie, amothersshadow.com
This is a great alternative to store bought granola which is usually loaded with sugar. This way you have control. Great post.
