I never know what to do for my husband for Father’s Day. Any one else have this problem? I sometimes ask him what he wants or he just buys what he wants. Like this year he bought a sledge hammer. I think it’s more fun to have something as a surprise, but that doesn’t always happen.
I still want to do something, so the kids and I are planning a little party. We made a fun Root Beer and Snickers Cake today. Pinching Your Pennies has a picture tutorial with everything you need to make your own cake. I didn’t have any wide ribbon to wrap around Root Beer and Snickers so I used scrapbook paper. And since this is not a birthday cake I changed the candle to a Father’s Day cake topper I made on the computer and taped to a dowel (a pencil would work too).
This is really easy to do last minute. You might already have everything you need in your pantry. If not everything you need can be found at your grocery store. Now we just have to find a place to hide our little surprise.
Have fun!

I love this idea! So quick, clever and easy! Did you know that you are “no-reply” bloggers? You can fix that in your settings!
