As much as I love my Double Wedding Ring quilt my grandma quilted for my wedding, I was ready for a change. Aren’t my curtains terrible. I never got around to making new ones when we moved in 4 years ago. I made these for our first apartment.
They have served there purpose now they need a good burial. I can’t wait to retire them. Just after my third baby was born we touched up all the paint in my bedroom and hallway. I thought that would be enough to get me happy with my room,
but the decorating bug hit and inspiration struck.
I was tired on my room being the storage room.
So, while my husband was out of town mom and I painted. He did know I was going to paint, no going behind his back – this time.
He even helped me pick the color. I think he was really afraid I was going to pick pink when I told him I wanted to paint. Did he really think I would do that to him?

I decided to go shabby chic. I’m trying to use things I already have and add a few new things as I find them. Then of course I need to stick to the budget! I haven’t really set one but I
promised my husband I wouldn’t go too crazy.
I love how it turned out! New bedding makes a big difference too.
Such a difference!
Not the greatest picture, but wait till you see what I did next.

I love the new bedding… the room looks so serene and peaceful now!! It’s amazing what a difference a coat of paint can make!
Looks good! I too plan to do a lot of painting while my man works 7 days a week this month. Paint can make such a huge difference to a room.
